This is an index of about .25 million open access journal articles written in English. Enter a word, more than one word, or a quoted phrase.
Each of the articles has been locally cached and indexed against their author names, titles, dates, and abstracts. The query language is quite expressive. It supports words, quoted phrases, Boolean logic (AND, OR, NOT), and field searching. If the syntax of your query is invalid, then the system will break, but most people don't enter anything but words or quoted phrases. Have you written an article for an open access journal? If so, then enter your name. That might work.
For extra credit, download the search results as CSV file, and feed the CSV file to a script -- results2cache.py. The script will loop through each of the rows in the CSV file and download each of the articles. Found a few hundred articles matching your query? No problem. Download them all and start reading.
