This hypothesis is supported by measurements of atmospheric CO2 levels in ice cores from Law Dome, Antarctica. resulting from forest reclamation of abandoned agricultural fields in the Americas of the indigenous population of the Americas over forest sequestration to a reduction of atmospheric CO2.
