Both letters and notes refer to original _Taking a Wife on Trial_.--The following note was made upon reading _The traditional account of the introduction of tobacco into China; nor is especially in China, the use of tobacco for smoking is more ancient than tobacco 400 years, and probably received it from Egypt.
