Our case-control matched analysis of 2288 revisional bariatric cases revealed longer operative duration and hospital length of stay, and higher rates of ICU admission, aggregate leak and bleeding complications in the robotic-assisted bariatric surgery compared to conventional laparoscopy. Taking into consideration the above outlined study limitations, the findings of this case-control matched analysis comparing these two surgical approaches for revision/conversion metabolic and bariatric surgery show that using the robotic platform is overall safe, but is associated with longer operative times and a higher rate of some perioperative outcome measures. ./cache/cord-011234-awbubjy4.txt ./txt/cord-011234-awbubjy4.txt
