Technological advances in the field of forensics, molecular biology, and microbiology have all helped to refine the techniques of collecting and processing of the samples for microbiological identification using DNA-based methods followed by its inference in the form of evidence. Herein the microbial forensics could be defined as "the discipline of applying scientific methods to the analysis of evidence related to bioterrorism, biocrimes, hoaxes, or the accidental release of a biological agent or toxin for attribution purposes" [21] . Microbial forensics has a role in such cases by applying scientific methods for the analysis of evidence from such a bioterrorism attack.
