Unfortunately, they either provide position information too coarse to be used for infectious contact detection [11] (GPS, cellular/Wi-Fi fingerprinting), require the infrastructure nearby (cellular/Wi-Fi), cannot be used indoors (GPS), consumes too much power for extended monitoring use (GPS) [12] , or could compromise privacy by exposing the identity of the device and eventually its owner (Bluetooth beacons).
