We conducted a retrospective study enrolling all the children aged 0 -18 years hospitalized at the pediatric departments of the Soroka University Medical Center, Beer-Sheva, Israel, during the period 01/2005 12/2016, with a diagnosis of purpuric rash accompanied by a fever >38 C.
