The questionnaire included 4 domains: (A) HH knowledge, (B) HH perceptions, (C) HH attitudes and role models, and (D) participant demographics and hospital characteristics. The attitudes and role models domain (C) was adapted from Hand Hygiene Knowledge and Performance a previous study [8] . The regression model for performance was calculated as Y4 =18.302+0.247X41 (perceptions)+0.232X42 (attitudes)+ 0.875X42 (role model); the coefficients were statistically signifiIn terms of infection control infrastructure [16] , ICDs and ICNs were not fully allocated across the hospitals analysed in this study.
