Newly published yearbooks will not be available online until at least one year after publication. Salmagundi idiosyncrasies: Until 1934, the focus of the yearbooks was on the junior class, because they were responsible for publishing it. The senior class was still pictured, but it was the juniors who had the spotlight with bigger pictures and more personal details. As a result, the yearbook titles differ from modern interpretation, so the “1884” yearbook was actually published in 1883 and included the Senior class of 1883 and the Junior class of 1884. No yearbooks were published for 1944, 1945, and 1946. Between 1846 and 1890, Colgate was known as Madison University. 131 items found in collection Film and Video Collection Digitized versions of vintage film and video related to Colgate University's history, including promotional programs, recordings of events, documentaries, interviews with faculty and almuni, and raw footage.     6 items found in collection Baptist Education Society of the State of New York Records The Baptist Education Society of the State of New York (BESSNY) originated from a meeting of thirteen men in Hamilton, New York, in 1817.
