We think that reproducible builds should become the norm, so we wrote How to make your software reproducible . Also aimed at the free software world at large, is the first specification we have written: the SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH specification . These pages are showing the potential of reproducible builds of Debian packages . The results shown were obtained by several jobs running on jenkins.debian.net. Thanks to IONOS for donating the virtual machines this is running on! https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/ We are reachable via IRC (#debian-reproducible and #reproducible-builds on OFTC), or email, and we care about free software in general, so whether you are an upstream developer or working on another distribution, or have any other feedback - we'd love to hear from you! Besides Debian we are also testing coreboot , OpenWrt , NetBSD , FreeBSD , and Arch Linux though not as thoroughly as Debian yet. openSUSE , NixOS and F-Droid are also being tested, though elsewhere. As far as we know, the Guix challenge is not yet run systematically anywhere. Testing of Fedora has sadly been suspended for now. We can test more projects, if you contribute! suite all source packages reproducible packages unreproducible packages packages failing to build packages timing out packages in depwait state not for this architecture blacklisted bullseye/amd64 30832 29423 / 95.5% 884 / 2.8% 410 / 1.3% 11 / 0% 5 / 0% 64 / .2% 0 / 0% bullseye/i386 30832 28475 / 92.4% 1079 / 3.5% 969 / 3.1% 11 / 0% 119 / .3% 127 / .4% 4 / 0% bullseye/arm64 30832 29216 / 94.7% 885 / 2.8% 432 / 1.4% 18 / 0% 38 / .1% 231 / .7% 1 / 0% bullseye/armhf 30832 28577 / 92.9% 1028 / 3.3% 614 / 1.9% 50 / .1% 170 / .5% 278 / .9% 37 / .1% unstable/amd64 31975 27052 / 84.6% 3922 / 12.2% 740 / 2.3% 24 / 0% 101 / .3% 66 / .2% 0 / 0% unstable/i386 31975 26678 / 83.5% 4038 / 12.6% 852 / 2.6% 13 / 0% 215 / .6% 139 / .4% 5 / 0% unstable/arm64 31975 26870 / 84.0% 3847 / 12.0% 755 / 2.3% 25 / 0% 142 / .4% 258 / .8% 2 / 0% unstable/armhf 31975 26394 / 82.8% 3941 / 12.3% 878 / 2.7% 16 / 0% 290 / .9% 305 / .9% 48 / .1% experimental/amd64 412 244 / 59.5% 79 / 19.2% 68 / 16.5% 1 / .2% 17 / 4.1% 1 / .2% 0 / 0% experimental/i386 412 222 / 54.1% 71 / 17.3% 86 / 20.9% 0 / 0% 23 / 5.6% 8 / 1.9% 0 / 0% experimental/arm64 412 225 / 54.6% 74 / 17.9% 71 / 17.2% 7 / 1.6% 19 / 4.6% 14 / 3.3% 0 / 0% experimental/armhf 412 (96.1% tested) 199 / 50.2% 63 / 15.9% 80 / 20.2% 8 / 2.0% 20 / 5.0% 19 / 4.7% 7 / 1.7% Various reproducibility statistics source based amd64 i386 arm64 armhf identified distinct and categorized issues 389 total number of identified issues in packages 6561 packages with notes about these issues 6314 packages in unstable with issues but without identified ones 825 / 2.5% 959 / 3.0% 845 / 2.6% 983 / 3.0%   - unreproducible ones 310 / .9% 397 / 1.2% 330 / 1.0% 379 / 1.1%   - failing to build 515 / 1.6% 562 / 1.7% 515 / 1.6% 604 / 1.8% packages in unstable which need to be fixed 4662 / 14.5% 4890 / 15.2% 4602 / 14.3% 4819 / 15.0% packages in bullseye with issues but without identified ones 362 / 1.1% 921 / 2.9% 375 / 1.2% 593 / 1.9%   - unreproducible ones 54 / .1% 133 / .4% 65 / .2% 118 / .3%   - failing to build 308 / 1.0% 788 / 2.5% 310 / 1.0% 475 / 1.5% packages in bullseye which need to be fixed 1294 / 4.1% 2048 / 6.6% 1317 / 4.2% 1642 / 5.2% committers to notes.git (in the last three months) 7 committers to notes.git (in total) 81 packages modified in our toolchain (in unstable) 0 Build network performance stats and an overview about the old suites 'stretch' and 'buster' are also available. This page was built by the jenkins job reproducible_html_dashboard which is configured via this git repo. There is more information about jenkins.debian.net and about reproducible builds of Debian available elsewhere. Please send technical feedback about jenkins to the Debian jenkins development list, or as a bug report against the jenkins.debian.org package. Feedback about specific job results should go to their respective lists and/or the BTS. The code of jenkins.debian.net is mostly GPL-2 licensed.
