First recorded in 1832, the Manx White Boys play features a song and a sword dance at its conclusion.[36] Although the key traditional characters include St. George, St. Patrick and others, modern versions frequently adapt the play to contemporary political concerns.[37] Characters featured since the 1990s include Sir MHK, Sir Banker, Expert and Estate Agent.[37] A a book on the White Boys compiled and edited by Stephen Miller was published in 2010; "Who wants to see the White Boys act?"
