The ability of the DNA vaccines to elicit an anti-OppA antibody response was evaluated by ELISA using the recombinant OppA protein of Ms03 as coating antigen. In this study we report, for the first time, that a DNA vaccine can elicit a humoral immune response in ostriches using OppA as antigen. The controls were serum samples representing the week 0, 3, 6, and 9 sampling points of a single ostrich, randomly selected from the pCI-neo_oppA 1,200 µg group based on high titers produced after vaccination.
