It is important that physicians who use innovations, and the designers who make them, are confident in their abilities to address legacies of structural racism within the clinical setting as it bears on health outcomes. Anti-racist, structural competency training needs to start from pre-medicine pathways and will be essential for reimagining justice in the medical workforce pipeline.
