In contrast to EAV, neither concanamycin A nor bafilomycin A1 nor monensin treatment of BHK-21 cells did affect SV5 mediated plaque formation (Fig. 3 ) consistent with the fact that infection by Parainfluenza viruses does not require a low pH compartment (Lamb and Kolakofsky, 2001) .
