To determine that protein p54, a major component of the external envelope of ASFV, fused to EGFP protein remains incorporated to the viral particle, BA71V and B54GFP-2 virions were Percoll purified and analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting using specific antibodies (Fig. 2a) .
