From this age-dependent IFR we predict the temporal evolution of the COVID-19associated deaths by delaying each age group's observed weekly cases by two weeks and multiplying by the IFR (see supplementary material). The observed number deaths (black) in each age group matches well the predicted deaths calculated from the case numbers (color) using an age-dependent infection-fatality rate from a metaanalysis [4] . b. IFR calculation The overall goal is to estimate death numbers from past reported cases per age group and compare them to the observed number of deaths. c.
