The economic impacts of COVID‐19 in Brazil based on an interregional CGE approach	2020-09-21		.txt	text/plain	4657	281	48	Therefore, the main contribution of this paper is to estimate the economic impact of COVID-19 outbreak in Brazil with regional and sectoral detailing, obtained from a scientific modeling framework that integrates information from the economic system and epidemiological scenarios. For Scenario 1, we incorporated a supply shock in the workforce resulting from the expected morbidity and mortality rates due to COVID-19, as well as a fall in activity in specific economic sectors due to social isolation. In Scenario 2, the fiscal policies mitigate the effects of COVID-19 outbreak on the economy, but they are not enough to reverse the negative results for most of the regions. Scenario 1 accesses two economic transmission channels of COVID-19 outbreak: (i) a reduction in labor supply due to the effects of morbidity and mortality; and (ii) a reduction in activity levels of specific sectors that are affected by the need of social isolation to combat the spread of the disease.	./cache/cord-033218-wpe0sl43.txt	./txt/cord-033218-wpe0sl43.txt
