Forth, the majority of the included studies in our meta-analysis were retrospective case-control studies, as the disease spreads around the world, it is hoped that other cohort studies and randomized studies will report more clinical data to verify our results, and further examine the effect of DM type, DM duration, presence of DM-related complications and glycaemic controls on prognosis of COVID-19.
