In this paper, a new approch based on texture analysis has been develped to distinguish between positive from negative cases using a dataset of COVID-19 Chest CT scan images. These observations were our strong motivation to investigate and design machine learning based schemes using extracted image texture features and test their performances on a sufficiently large dataset of CT scans in terms of distinguishing positive Covid-19 cases from negative ones.
