There is no conclusive evidence for aerosol or faecal-oral transmission of SARS-CoV-2 despite several researchers considering them as plausible routes that may explain the high infectivity and global spread of COVID-19 (Chen et al., 2020; van Doremalen et al., 2020; Wang et al., 2020a) . From the literature studied, concerns of COVID-19 infection through environmental contact pertain mainly to areas that lack proper sanitation and wastewater treatment, lack adequate solid waste management infrastructure, in areas where raw sewage is discharged directly into natural water bodies, and in cities where air pollution is problematic.  Robust evidence is needed to assess impact of air pollution, solid waste management, and sewage contamination of water bodies on COVID-19 spread and infectivity. ./cache/cord-302195-25gjbyi1.txt ./txt/cord-302195-25gjbyi1.txt
