CONCLUSION: Acutely altered mental status might be the main manifestation of multiple brain infarctions in critically ill COVID-19 patients. Although the most common findings in stroke are focal neurological deficits, ischemic lesions in those patients might be due to multifocal and distal vessel occlusions which could more frequently manifest as an altered mental status [9] .
