Here, we use the publicly available proteomics data from this study to re-analyze the in vitro cellular consequences of SARS-CoV-2 infection by impact pathways analysis and network analysis. Cellular factors exploited by SARS-CoV-2 to gain entry into cells have recently been studied, revealing that the virus uses the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) host cell receptor, together with the serine protease TMPRSS2.
