cord-315303-cxu5pt5r	van Gerwen, Maaike	Risk factors and outcomes of COVID‐19 in New York City; a retrospective cohort study	2020-07-24		.txt	text/plain	3517	217	52	METHODS: In this retrospective cohort study, including 3703 patients with laboratory confirmed COVID‐19, we identified risk factors associated with all‐cause mortality, need for hospitalization and mechanical ventilation. 17 The present study assesses the risk factors associated with the need for hospitalization and mechanical ventilation as well as all-cause mortality of all laboratory confirmed COVID-19 patients, diagnosed across a larger New York City health system in the month of March 2020 and outcomes as of May 13th, 2020 with a minimum follow-up time of six weeks. This is one of the initial studies including a population of the first and largest COVID-19 epicenter in the US with adequate follow-up time to report on risk factors associated with hospitalization, need for mechanical ventilation and mortality.
