Sadly, doctors, including cardiac surgeons 5 died from the coronavirus, and many others will likely lose the battle with the virus in the future. A new challenge is operating on patients that are Covid-19 positive or suspected as high risk for the disease. We are dealing with a new disease in our cardiac surgical patients, and we have no understanding of it.
