In this context, this review highlights the potential beneficial effects of natural products that are actively used in alternative/ traditional medicines to treat many of the acute pulmonary infections, routinely seen in COVID-19 patients. Importantly, these pre-clinical studies highlight the efficacy of garlic in mitigating pulmonary fibrosis, lung injury, and sepsis-associated organ failure, all of which are symptoms observed in patients with advanced COVID-19 infection. Taken together, preclinical and clinical studies suggest that vitamin-C could have promising therapeutic benefits in individuals with pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia, ARDS, sepsis, acute lung injury, and multiple organ dysfunction all of which are observed in advanced COVID-19 patients. ./cache/cord-331910-s474ecvk.txt ./txt/cord-331910-s474ecvk.txt
