But the studies exploring the relationship between age, CRP levels, and the severity of COVID-19, especially by the means of smooth curve fitting, are lacking. Thus, we describe the clinical characteristics as well as laboratory findings of COVID-19 patients residing in Xiaogan City, so as to have an insight regarding the prevention as well as treatment of COVID-19, and simultaneously explore the relationship between age, CRP levels, and the severity of COVID-19, thereby exploring the indicators for predicting the severity of COVID-19.
