We also assessed the discrimination of each candidate model for standardised outcomes of: (a) our composite endpoint of clinical deterioration; and (b) mortality, across a range of pre-specified time horizons from admission (7 days, 14 days, 30 days and any time during hospital admission), by calculating time-dependent AUROCs (with cumulative sensitivity and dynamic specificity) [18] .
