Another report suggested an increased risk for coronary stent thrombosis (Figure 3) causing STEMI in infected patients (11, 12) . Third, a number of cases of STEMI mimics were submitted including patients with ST-segment elevation due to myopericarditis, Brugada pattern, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, or endothelial dysfunction due to infection or cytokine storm.
