This commentary highlights some of the challenges faced by otolaryngologists in LMICs and draws on the personal experience of the authors to suggest future directions for collaboration and risk mitigation. [13] Therefore, when otolaryngologists interact with their patients, their number of secondary contacts and COVID-19 exposure risk is likely much greater when compared to their colleagues in HICs.
