We included eight severely or critically ill patients with COVID-19 who were treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Wuhan Children's Hospital from January 24 to February 24. Critically ill COVID-19 was defined when the pediatric patients met any of the following criteria: (1) respiratory failure which requires mechanical ventilation; (2) septic shock, and (3) accompanied by other organ failure that needs ICU monitoring and treatment.
