We describe two cases of PUU-associated HPS, in which administration of intravenous corticosteroids combined with continuous veno-venous hemodiafiltration (CVVHDF) was followed by rapid clinical improvement. On day 5 POS the lung infiltrates had increased considerably (Fig. 3a,b) , and the patient required continuous ventilation with a positive airway pressure mask.
