Due to the described anti-inflammatory properties, we hypothesize that elevated levels of H2S in serum are associated with a favourable outcome of Covid-19 pneumonia. Pneumonia Severity Index (PSI) (9); (iii) absolute blood cell counts and biochemistry on admission and follow-up; and 28-day survival. Following ROC curve analysis, it was found that serum levels of H2S on day 1 lower than 150.44μΜ had the best trade-off for sensitivity and specificity for death (Figure 3Aand B ).
