This study is the first time to develop such a framework, and provide detailed guidelines for improving pedestrian level low wind velocity environment in high-density cities. A flow chart of the design framework for improving the pedestrian level low wind velocity environment in a high-density city is shown in Fig. 1 . Several studies have investigated the effect of the lift-up design on improving low wind velocity environment in high-density cities. The above mentioned studies confirm that the lift-up design is a promising solution for low wind velocity environments in densely built urban areas, especially at pedestrian level. A general design framework was developed, and detailed guidelines on improving the pedestrian level low wind velocity environment in high-density cities were offered. ./cache/cord-310337-vw4cno4p.txt ./txt/cord-310337-vw4cno4p.txt
