While AAG represents a relatively small portion (~1-3%) of the total plasma proteins, compared to~60% composition of albumin, it can play a significant role in drug binding and pharmacokinetics (PK) (43) . Since AAG levels increase in most disease states (46) , drugs with a high affinity may demonstrate higher binding (lower fraction unbound, f u ) and altered PK properties (e.g. lower total CL), lower V ss .
