The Netbase platform [17] was employed to study the number of online posts, from Twitter and other publicly available sites including blogs, news releases, and online publications, related to keywords associated with veterinarians over the time period from 1st September 2017 to 30th November 2019. Primary search terms, or keywords, along with exclusionary terms, were developed by researchers to facilitate the collection of a dataset encompassing online and social media posts associated with veterinarians, veterinary medicine, and veterinary service locations (i.e., animal hospitals or clinics).
