In the present work, we compared particle distribution and deposition rates for a small model chamber by the two approaches. (1), while within the concentration boundary layer, the particle wall flux is determined with a one-dimensional semi-empirical particle deposition model (Lai and Nazaroff, 2000) and the results are substituted into Eq. Overall speaking, the results modeled by the two approaches agree well with each other; as the particle size increases, the deposition fraction increases. For submicron particles, the deposition fractions predicted by Lagrangian (without near-wall turbulent correction) is higher than those predicted with correction and Eulerian drift flux prediction follows.
