This international multidisciplinary group of experts in HGG provides a risk-adapted framework for decisions in both pandemic scenarios, considering both ethical issues and resource constraints, in order to minimize the irreparable damage associated with withholding necessary treatments. We recognize that during the pandemic the challenges of ICU capacity, conservation of PPE, availability of health care professional expertise and the risk for patients' exposure to SARS-CoV-2 may reduce the ability to provide optimal surgical management.
