In approximately 5000 COVID-19 tested patients across our hospitals, we have performed 4700 chest imaging exams, including 1300 CT and 3400 x-ray examinations. For elective imaging, if the patient did not reschedule their study, arrives at our department and is symptomatic per front door or front desk screening, the patient is provided with a surgical mask and placed in an isolation room. For patients requiring airborne/contact precautions, radiology technologists will perform room sanitizing after imaging while still wearing the same set of PPE as used during patient transfers. For all critical and time-sensitive procedures and imaging studies that involve anesthesia and may require intubation, a RT-PCR test for COVID-19 is performed prior to the procedure to ensure healthcare worker protection. ./cache/cord-308491-fc46k594.txt ./txt/cord-308491-fc46k594.txt
