It is hoped that through this article, surgeons will have a better system in hepatobiliary diseases classification, treatment selection, and protective measures to improve the clinical practice in accordance with the guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of the novel coronavirus pneumonia. Under the pressure of new pneumonia epidemic, surgeons must rethink ways to overcome the lack of medical protective equipment and effective methods to treat 2019-nCoV patients with hepatobiliary disease.
