The discovery of murine norovirus (MNV) [7] , which replicates efficiently in immortalized macrophage cells and has both reverse genetics systems and small animal models available [8] , has also enabled the examination of the immune responses to noroviruses as well as the efficacy of inhibitors in vitro and in vivo.
