As shown in Fig. 2 , several factors, including alteration of ACE2 receptor expression, excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, senescent adipocytes activity, alteration of autophagy and mitophagy, immune-senescent, as well as vitamin D (VD) deficiency, may associate "inflame-aging" to cytokine storm in elderly patients of COVID-19.
