Mediating effect analysis was performed to explore the role of self-efficacy in the relationship between family environment and symptoms of anxiety and depression. The results showed that there were statistically significant relationships between the anxiety and depressive symptoms of medical staff, their family environment, and their sense of self-efficacy. The medical staff members with low cohesion and expressiveness, as well as high conflict in the family environment, were more likely to show anxiety and depressive symptoms during the epidemic.
