Neural and behavioral signatures of social evaluation and adaptation in childhood and adolescence: The Leiden consortium on individual development (L-CID)	2020-07-11		.txt	text/plain	10211	434	29	The L-CID program has two aims: 1) to unravel the developmental trajectories, differences and commonalities of behavioral profiles and neural correlates for self and other-oriented social evaluation, which are two important components of social competence (see Fig. 3 for paradigm examples), and 2) to understand differential susceptibility to environmental enrichment (in a randomized control trial) in different phases of development, with a specific focus on early childhood and emerging adolescence. An important question for future research will be to test whether neural sensitivity of the ventral striatum and the medial prefrontal cortex are early markers for differential susceptibility to environmental influences, which may impact developmental outcomes for better and for worse. Future research should examine prosociality and self-control following social evaluation in terms of stability and change, and determine the contextual factors that influence behavior and neural activity, and brain-behavior associations.	./cache/cord-349916-x37olwv9.txt	./txt/cord-349916-x37olwv9.txt
