The construction of low-cost laparoscopic box trainers has been previously outlined [3] , and institutions that do not have access to high-end surgical training kits can still provide their surgical residents with opportunities using this accessible tool during the current pandemic. Institutions have had to adapt to K COVID-19: an opportunity to restructure surgical education different ways in which their surgical trainees learn, and-in our institution at least-have focused on reducing clinical activities and the high workload associated with surgical training to instead focus on academic and technical skills' training.
