We also aimed to compare the anxiety symptoms and preventive measures during the week immediately prior to the study, while the outbreak was still on the rise, and at the time the COVID-19 outbreak was first reported in China. Despite it being widely circulated in the news media that older adults affected by COVID-19 likely have a higher risk of complications and mortality, and the recent large epidemiological data from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention that shows that those above 60 years of age accounted for 44.1% of confirmed cases in Wuhan [33] , our study's participants in the older age group appear to have a lower level of anxiety.	./cache/cord-355448-ed3fth3i.txt	./txt/cord-355448-ed3fth3i.txt
