However, the empirical evidence needed to estimate the impact of overnutrition (including overweight and obese conditions) on the severity of viral respiratory infections in children is still lacking (10) . Hence, the objective of this study was to estimate the relationship of overnutrition on severity of illness in infants (aged between 0 and 5 months) and children (aged between 6 and 24 months) hospitalized with ALRIs.
