Providing some specificity to the steps of decolonization and steps of dismantling of white supremacy within libraries and knowledge institutions, in "Imagining: Creating Space for Indigenous Ontologies," Duarte and Lewis identify five steps to building indigenous knowledge systems toward decolonization.
