Welcome to the February 2019 issue of C&RL News. 
We start out this issue with the latest installment of our 
Scholarly Communication column. Jenny Hoops and 
Sarah Hare share information on some great “Library 
publisher resources” in this month’s installment.

Next up, Amanda Scull discusses classroom assign-
ments she used at Keene State College to get students 
thinking about “Information creation as a process.” In 
our latest International Insights column, Yoo-Seong Song 
provides “A glimpse into academic and research libraries in 
North Korea.” We also welcome Jaya Raju as a new coedi-
tor of the column and thank Barbara Ford for her service.

This month we feature three articles examining 
different experiences with, and uses of, library spaces. 
Alexandria Chisholm and Brett Spencer discuss how 
a temporary closure of the Penn State-Burks Library 
led to a deeper collaboration with the campus writ-
ing center in their article “The displaced librarian.”

Andrew Blakely and Jerrod Mobley reflect on 
their experiences working the overnight shift at the 
Georgia Tech Library in “While the campus sleeps.”

At the University of Toronto, librarians expanded 
their commitment to inclusivity by developing a  
family-friendly study space to increase accessibility 
for student parents. Jesse Carliner and Kayla Everall 
write about the project in their article “Playtime at 
Robarts Library.”

In this month’s The Way I See It essay, Irene 
M.H. Herold discusses her experiences enacting 
“Responsible collaborations” when working with 
scholarship and cultural heritage asserts over the 
course of her career.

Amy Wainwright and Michelle Millet provide an 
overview of “Social justice, history, and inequality in 
Cleveland” in the latest article examining our ACRL 
2019 host city.

Make sure to check out the other features and

elect, and Internet Resources on hiking by April J. 
Schweikhard of Kennesaw State University.
