An analysis of rights statements in digital collection metadata from the DPLA Illinois service hub participants in 2017 was at odds with the high levels of confidence self-reported in a 2016 librarian copyright knowledge survey in which the Illinois hub found that only 25 percent of the metadata in the rights field included any information about copyright.2 Sara R.
