FIRST STATION This photograph is of the court where Our Blessed Lord was shown to the crowds after He was scourged and where the, death penalty was passed upon Him. Jesus is condemned to Death V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, it was not so much Pilate as my many sins , that condemned Thee to die on the Cross. Have mercy on us, O Lord. R. Have mercy on us. SECOND STATION This is a photograph of the street in which Our Lord taking up His cross, began His journey of suffering to Calvary. Jesus is made to bear His Cross V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, it was by Thine own will and for the love of me that Thou didst take up the most heavy Cross which I made for Thee by my sins. THIRD STATION This is a photograph of the spot where Our Lord fell for the first time under the heavy weight of the Cross. Jesus falls for the first time under His Cross V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. 0 my Jesus, it was the weight of my numerous sins which caused Thee to fall beneath the Cross. FOURTH STATION This photograph is of the street in Jerusalem where Our Blessed Lord and His sorrowing Mother met as He was proceeding on His way to the Crucifixion. Jesus meetsHisafllkted Mother V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, how painful was it for Thee to meet Thy most afflicted Mother. O Mary, how great was thy grief in meeting thy beloved Son Jesus laden with the Cross, going to die on it for my sins. Obtain for me a great sorrow for my sins and the grace to sin no more. FIFTH STATION When Our Lord reached this spot He was so weakened that the soldiers feared He might die before reaching Calvary, so they had Simon help Jesus carry the Cross. The Cyrenian helps Jesus to carry His Cross V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, thrice blest was he who aided Thee to bear the Cross. I accept, as a penance for my sins, all the crosses and trials of my whole life. SIXTH STATION This is the place where Veronica wiped the bleeding face of Jesus. Jesus left an imprint of His face on the cloth which is now preserved in Rome. Veronica wipes the face of Jesus V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my loving Jesus, Thou didst deign to print Thy sacred face on Veronica’s cloth; deign to wipe away from my soul all its sins, and imprint on it the lasting memory of Thy bitter sufferings. SEVENTH STATION This photograph shows the street in Jerusalem where Jesus fell for the second time. Jesus falls the second time V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, it was my fall- ing back into sin that caused Thee to fall again beneath Thy Cross. EIGHTH STATION It was at the spot photographed above that Our Lord consoled the weeping women of Jerusalem. Jesus speaks to the daughters of Jerusalem V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, Thou didst teach the women of Jerusalem to weep rather over themselves; grant that whilst I meditate on Thy sufferings, I may weep over my sins which were the cause of them all. NINTH STATION This is a photograph of the spot where Jesus fell for the third and last time before reaching Calvary. Jesus falls the third time V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my Jesus, my repeated falls into sin, after so many promises to sin no more, were the cause of all Thy falls beneath the Cross. Have mercy on us. TENTH STATION This is a photograph of the Church now occupying the site of Calvary where the events commemorated in the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Stations took place. O my Jesus, grant that I may strip myself of all attachment to sinful plea- sures, and never offend Thee by the vices of impurity and intemperance. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. O my beloved Jesus! It was my sins which nailed Thee to the Cross. I am heartily sorry for them, and firmly resolved never more to sin. Out Father, HailMary , Glory be to the Father, etc. V. Have mercy on us, O Lord. R. Have mercy on us. TWELFTH STATION Jesus dies on the Cross V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee. R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. 0 my Jesus, grant me the forgiveness of my sins and give me to Mary as her child. 1 will ever love Thee, and, for the love of Thee, I forgive all who may have injured me. Have mercy on us. THIRTEENTH STATION This is another view of the interior of the Church on the site of Calvary where Our Lord was crucified. Jesus is taken down from the Cross V. O Mary, my most sorrowful Mother, the sword of grief went through thy soul when thou didst hold Jesus lifeless in thine arms. It was my sins that caused His death and so wounded thy loving heart. This is a photograph of the tomb in which the Body of Our Blessed Lord was laid after the Crucifixion and from which He rose glorious on Easter Sunday. O my Jesus, bury my sins with Thee in the tomb, and grant that I may rise to a new life, and avoid sin and serve Thee faithfully all the days of my life.
